Yellowstone ZipLine & Canopy tours is a child of Montana Whitewater Raft Company, which has been offering family rafting trips to the Yellowstone Area for 28 years. We proudly offer trips on the Gallatin, Yellowstone and Madison Rivers, which flow out of Yellowstone National Park. They are among the most beautiful and pristine waters in the lower 48 states. We have everything from technical Class IV rapids, to fun splashy Class II and III rapids, to scenic relaxing Class I rapids. Our zip line tours share headquarters with Montana Whitewater – on the Gallatin River near Big Sky and on the Yellowstone River in Gardiner, MT. Gallatin River Classic Zip and Dip

Enjoy a full day of adventure on the Gallatin River with a 2 hour zipline tour and a three hour whitewater raft trip.

  • 2 hour zipline tour (3 ziplines, 3 adventure elements)
  • 3 hour whitewater raft trip down the Gallatin River – scenic (class I), less challenging (class I-III), more challenging (class I-IV)
  • Plan on a 5.5-6.5 hour day or split the activities over two days.
  • Weight limit 260 lbs.

The Classic Zipline tour is a great introduction to ziplining, with 3 zips and 3 adventure bridges. You will begin by ascending to a tree platform 50 ft in the air, where you will take a leap into the unknown on the first zip. Our second zip line, deemed “The Wiley Wire of the Wild West,” will take you soaring over 800ft across the Gallatin River. Then, strike a pose and show us your zipping style on zip 3, “Grandma’s House,” as you fly over the river and through the woods! The rafting portion is approx. 3 hours, with about 2 on the water depending on water levels. The Gallatin River is a technical river that runs through a scenic, rocky canyon. It has fun rapids and is the most challenging commercial rafting available in the Yellowstone Area. We run two main sections of the river, catering to a more or less challenging experience. Our friendly office staff we will help you pick the appropriate one depending on your group and water levels on the river.

Gallatin River Super Zip and Dip

The Super Zipline tour lines will build in length throughout the tour, so the thrills never stop! Additional adventure elements are mixed in to make this tour dynamic. The bridge deemed “Bill’s Revenge” will test your balance as you step from swaying swing to swing, then, monkey up and climb the cargo net. Finish the tour with two zips soaring across the Gallatin River! The rafting portion is approx. 3 hours, with about 2 on the water depending on water levels. The meeting place for the Yellowstone ZipLine Tours is Montana Whitewater’s Gallatin River Headquarters in Gallatin Gateway, MT just outside of Big Sky. From Big Sky or West Yellowstone head north on Highway 191.  We are located at mile marker 64 on your right.  From Bozeman head west on Main Street to Four Corners. Turn left onto Highway 191 and head south for 17 miles.  Our main office is located on the left at mile 64. From Billings head west on I-90. Take exit 298 in Belgrade and head south 34 miles toward Big Sky.  Highway 85 turns into Highway 191 after 11 miles. Our office is located on the left at mile marker 64.

The meeting place for the Yellowstone ZipLine Tours is Montana Whitewater’s Yellowstone River Headquarters in Gardiner, MT. Gardiner can be found south of Livingston, MT on Highway 89, at the North Entrance to Yellowstone National Park. If you are coming from the Park, we are 8 miles North of Mammoth Hot Springs, WY. Our office is kitty-corner to the Super 8 Motel, next to the bright yellow house. Each tour includes a 20 minutes shuttle ride out of town to the zip line site in Cinnabar Basin. At times parking in Gardiner can be congested. If you are staying in Gardiner, we encourage you to walk to our location. If you cannot find street parking, we have an arrangement with the Super 8 Motel to use their parking lot. Please park along the edges of their lot, not right next to the motel.
